About UERC

We are the Uniondale Residents. We are the Volunteers at the Community Center.  We were brought together at the time of the Grand Opening of 925 Jerusalem Ave.  We have provided our Services, Time and Talents to Our Community and We Stand to Represent the Residents of Uniondale.

Who We Are & What We Do

In addition to addressing critical local issues such as housing overcrowding, road infrastructure, water quality concerns, and environmental impacts, we also have a strong focus on enhancing the well-being of the Uniondale residents through community based tailored programs. Our mission includes:

  • Developing children’s programs to provide enrichment, engagement, and a safe space for learning and growth.
  • Offering preventative health programs that address wellness and empower the community with tools to lead healthier lives.
  • Launching mental health initiatives to support emotional and psychological well-being for residents of all ages.
  • Advocating for and implementing disability programs that promote inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
  • Fostering inclusion for all, ensuring every member of our community feels valued and supported.

Some of our community highlights:

  • Back-to-School Giveaway: Distributed over 150 backpacks to local and neighboring families.
  • Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway: Helped families in need by distributing turkeys last month.
  • Toy Drive: Aiming to bring joy this holiday season by giving away 200 toys to Uniondale residents.

At U.E.R.C., we prioritize accountability, transparency, and inclusivity, striving to be both a voice for and a reflection of the community we serve.
